Green Pond Marina and Yacht Club has a new owner, but its purpose and services are not changing much.

Kevin B. Harrington Jr. of Falmouth, doing business as Green Pond Holdings LLC, purchased the property December 30.

Harry Turner of Acapesket Road had owned the Green Pond property at 366 Menauhant Road in East Falmouth since 2000.

Since the 1960s the property has included Green Pond Seafood, Green Pond Tackle Inc., a complete fish market, and a marina that accommodates 75 boats.

“I will try to continue to bring the same great service that Harry has brought for the past 10 years to the restaurant and marina,” Mr. Harrington said Wednesday, January 15. “We’ll continue hauling boats and servicing engines, and we’re aiming to keep the same staff.”

The restaurant will have a new chef and a different menu, with lower pricing for many menu items, Mr. Harrington said.

“Harry has done a great job getting it all to this point, and I want to continue his great stewardship of the property,” he said. “We used to sell Mako boats here, but we’re not going to be selling those anymore.”

Mr. Turner could not be reached for comment.
